A 20-year-old woman says she suffered a concussion and neck injuries after a police officer struck her during fan celebrations in Edmonton during the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Kristin Wilson said a doctor diagnosed the concussion and she is to have more X-rays of her neck taken this week. She also said she saw a dentist who told her she will require work on three teeth.
Her case hit the news after photographs appeared to show a woman being struck and pushed to the pavement June 17 while her hands were bound behind her back.
She said she was interviewed last week by police internal affairs investigators. Kim Armstrong of police internal affairs said it would be inappropriate to comment.
